Spring break

We had a wonderful spring break. A much needed break. The only downside was I didn't get my car until Thursday. The shop had it for almost 2 weeks. Crazy. Hayley came over on the first Wednesday night and spent the night...Andrew spent the night with Cory. The kids ended up seeing Hayley at least 5 days. Andrew saw Cory twice. Not bad at all. We went to the zoo, the kids thought this sheep looked like an overgrown Scamp. We went the the lake, where we had a picnic and raced remote control boats. We helped paint at Hayley's and painted our living room, dining room and kitchen. The kids got to play outside almost every day. In fact, when we went to the lake, they even got a bit of a sunburn. Oops...bad mom....didn't even think about sunscreen. All in all, a very restorative, relaxing spring break. All the benefits of going away without the expense!

I need a vacation

Or should it be titled the month of "c's"? That's not very good either. It has been a stressful 2008 so far, as you may have determined from previous posts. I haven't posted in a while because of C number one:

COMPUTER - I fried my laptop. The CAT was climbing on the back of the sofa and I was afraid she was going to spill my CUP of tea, so I reached back to move it....promptly spilling it under the COMPUTER. Under it, mind you, not on the keyboard. I immediately lifted it up, hardly anything even drained out of it, but as I was moving it, it started (it had been in sleep mode) and shorted out the power switch. I guess another C fits in there - CLUMSY (is that how it is spelled?)
BY THE WAY - PLEASE SEND ME EMAIL ADDRESSES - I NO LONGER HAVE ANYONE'S!
CLOG - The kitchen sink has been clogged for a year (off and on) and pretty bad for a couple of months. We (Mike) have poured so many CHEMICALS down the sink. CHEMICALS that specifically say do not use in garbage disposers or septic tanks......oops. So we (Mike) probably have destroyed those two things that cost a fortune to repair. Septic tanks are around $9000, I think. I just finished washing dishes in the bathtub. Some I washed more than once, because I dropped the dishes on the way to the kitchen to dry.

CAR - My car is in the shop. I have had trouble with it since we bought it. It dies at stopsigns (when the a/c is running); it doesn't go over 15 mph the first 10 minutes when it is cold; and the starter is going out.

CLASS - This isn't really a problem, but it is stressful. I have been attempting to memorize, not only all the bones in the body, but the parts of the bone - each little bump, indention, flat place, etc. Then there is the kids' classes - they have become increasingly less willing to do their schoolwork. I think being COOPED up inside for the long COLD winter has us all wanting to go outside.

CASH - Or more specifically, the lack thereof. Mostly because of the aforementioned problems and the high COST of gas!

CALGON - Take me away. Maybe to CORPUS CHRISTI to hang out with Ericca?
